The Powerhouse Arts Education Program

POWERHOUSE YOUTH ARTS PROJECT

PYAP is a stipended arts program for San Francisco students aged 14-17. PYAP's goal is to cultivate youth development and career exposure through community-relevant arts projects, fieldtrips and professional development.

PYAP offers classes in Digital Media Arts, Culinary Arts, Fabrication/Design Arts, and Literary Arts.

Our partners include award-winning youth organizations Youth Speaks, Bay Area Video Coalition/BUMP Records, 826 Valencia, and SF Camerawork.

POWERHOUSE COMMUNITY ARTS EDUCATOR INTERNSHIPS

PCAEI provides paid internship positions for emerging youth leaders. Interns receive training in community-building, leadership, and critical thinking, and serve as peer educators and teaching assistants in Powerhouse Youth Arts Project classes. Applicants must be high school sophomores, juniors or seniors.
